Independence Celebration

This past week at Westmoreland Care and Rehabilitation we celebrated our country’s independence with our annual Independence Celebration. The weather was rainy, but we still had a great turnout and brought of all our activities inside!

We provided free food and drinks to all families, elders, and guests attending the event. EJ Ryder’s band provided us with live music. We held a huge cake walk in the common area of our facility. Elders, children, and families all participated in the cake walk! Our elders loved being a part of it. Kids played games such as twister, mini golf, coloring/painting activities, and getting their faces painted! The weather cleared by night time and we were able to end the night with an incredible firework show!

Our silent auction had several items for our guests to bid on. Westmoreland Council of the Arts had a photo booth set up in the front lobby. Westmoreland local Hope Clinic provided shirts, prizes, and giveaways throughout the night!

Thanks to everyone who attended or participated in the event! Our Fall Festival will be Thursday October 27th, 2016.
