Westmoreland Care and Rehabilitation is proud to introduce our Elder Spotlight of the Month:
Mack and Tamara Clark came to Westmoreland Care and Rehab from Kingsport TN. Tamara and Mack have both been in other facilities in the past and have been pleasantly surprised about the culture at Westmoreland Care and Rehab.
Mack is a Vietnam Veteran and has been happy with the amount of freedom, choices, and activities that are offered to him. He is very involved in facility life and enjoys running the bingo program and makes morning announcements to the other elders and stakeholders regarding daily activities and words of wisdom for the day. Mack states that the employees at Westmoreland Care and Rehab “go above and beyond” and states that this is the “best facility I have ever been at”.
Tamara is also very involved in facility life. She participates in most of the facility activities that are offered and enjoys going shopping and out to eat with the Quality of Life Department. Tamara states that she loves the food and states “this is the only facility I have been at where I have choices, and can order special orders, or even fresh vegetables”. She concurs with her husband that the staff at Westmoreland Care and Rehab go above and beyond. She states that, “the staff here really care about me”.
During this time of Thanksgiving. We here at Westmoreland Care and Rehab are thankful to not only these two elders but all the elders that we care for daily. We are thankful to their families for allowing us to care for their loved ones and our community for allowing us to serve our elderly population.
We hope everyone has a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!
